This article is concerned with the dynamic stability and chaotic behaviors of a space three-bar supporter of shape memory alloys. Based on a five order polynomial constitutive description of thermo-mechanical and pseudo-elastic behaviors of shape memory alloys, the nonlinear dynamic model which dominates the vertical vibration of the space three-bar supporter of shape memory alloys is established. Free and forced responses of the system are investigated. The dynamic stability of the system is investigated by using the qualitative analysis method of a differential dynamic system. Numerical simulations show that the system exhibits interesting and complex behaviors, such as periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic motions, and at a temperature where both martensitic and austenitic phases coexist, the chaotic characteristic of the system is the strongest. With an increase in the value of damp parameter of the system, the chaotic behavior decrease.
