The selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO_x was studied at 323-423 K, which is relatively lower temperature than the conventional SCR method by a V_2O_5/TiO_2-anatase catalyst. Transition metal oxides supported on pitch based Active Carbon Fibers (ACF) were investigated as the catalytic component. Three transition metal oxides, Fe_2O_3, Co_2O_3, and Mn_2O_3 were tested as catalytic components, and Mn_2O_3 showed the best activity among the three metal oxides.
