Heating the pathological cardiac tissue by inducing RF power through catheter electrode into heart chamber can efficiently therapy the cardiac re-entry tachycardia. We know that within radiofrequency range cardiac tissue will present pure electrical resistance and high-frequency (>10kHz) current won't cause cardiac depolarization, so this method is safe and easily to control. These characteristics leads RF catheter ablation to have a wide use in clinical practice. More than 60,000 cases have been cured in China in past 5 years.
