European Energy Policy - Directives and Action Plans

摘要

The European secondary legislation sets a legislative framework for the internal Energy market. Moreover different papers are adopted to supplement the directives. The goal of the EU policy is to assure the security of supply; additionally, Europe deals with the challenges of climate change and the need to establish a coherent external energy policy. All in all, the aim of the energy policy in general is to assure a secure, competitive and sustainable energy market in the EU.
