Cholangiocarcinoma is a kind of common cancer,which arises from cholangiocytes. In most patients, the disease characterized by special anatomy position with periductal extension, blood vessels and nerve infiltration, leads to low rate of radical excision. Moreover, chemotherapy is less effective for the disease, it has poor prognosis. We studied the mechanism -aza-2-deoxycytidine (DAC or 5-aza-dc), a methylation inhibitor, on the growth of cholangiocarcinoma cells (QBC939) to discuss its possibility in chemotherapy.
