@@ The phenoxyherbicides 2,4-D and 2,4,5-T have been widely used since the 1940s. Many 2, 4-D-degrading microorganisms have been isolated worldwide from a variety of environments. However, most studies have extensively focused on the 2, 4-D-degrading bacteria although fungal biomass is estimated to be as great as that of bacteria in the soil environments. In this study, we isolated indigenous fungi from the Vietnamese soils, with or without a history of exposure to Agent Orange, and examined their 2,4-Dand 2,4, 5-T-degrading ability.
