Systems have a spatial basis. As such, they consist of a minimum of six forces,rninterconnected by four events. The forces are coupled to each other at the event nodes,rnand this coupling balances system forces internally, instant by instant. Forces may also berninterchanged with other systems. This interaction or coupling between systems can bernmodeled as a shared flow of energy, information, or material. The energetic coupling isrneither an energy source – more than is required to maintain internal structure; or an energyrnsink – energy required to maintain internal structure. Such a flow may occur along a forcernmember of the structure (i.e. a relation or connection), or it may occur at an event nodern(i.e. balance point) of the system. This paper will explore these two approaches tornmodeling systems coupling, and relate this coupling to the systemic effect of precession.
