Changes of state of objects in scenarios expressed in terms of specific properties arernmade explicit by linguistic modelling. These changes emerging from such a model orrnjust postulated, serve as the basis for product and systems design throughrnrequirements which are generated from a scheme of purposive activity. A change in arnproperty of a changing object is accompanied by a number of relevant, emerging,rnquiescent properties of the same and of environmental objects. Requirements arerndeduced from changing and quiescent properties to cater for specific properties of arnproduct and performance of a number of mutually interacting objects.
