This paper presents a model of a complex electromechanical system based on a new type of electromechanical converter - a field regulated reluctance machine (FRRM). The problem of optimal regulation of a multiphase electromechanical converter is formulated according to the criterion of minimum costs for the installed power of an electric drive and a semiconductor converter. The second task of optimizing the circuit of the power circuits of a semiconductor converter and an electric machine is formulated using the criterion of minimum electric losses. The results of optimization in the function of the nominal electromagnetic torque of the electric drive and the number of phases of the power semiconductor converter are presented. The research was supported by RSF.
