In this paper, investigation was carried on the mechanical behaviour of a novel semi-rigid mesh grid composite which was designed by combining the flexible features of textile with the rigidity of composites. Biaxial tensile load with different axial strain ratio (ASR) were applied to stretch the net composites to failure, The results showed that the mechanical behaviour of the mesh grid composite is generally isotropie but nonlinear with the tensiles train. Besides, the biaxia load capacity of the net composite is highly related with the resin content and load direction. A resin content of 25% provides the composite the best strength/weight ratio.
