Moisture permeability has become one important character for textile comfort. There are many methods to improve this kind of performance, including hydrophilic treatment, cross-section modification, fine danier fiber and so on. This paper was focused on fine danier fiber. Poly (trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT) as a kind of new polyester fiber has many excellent perfomance except moisture absorption and permeability. So how to endow this new textile the better comfort character is interested by many researchers. Firstly, the basic mechanism and effects of moisture permeability of PTT yarns were stated. Then an original simulator named ShapeGanerator (SG) was compiled by "Visual C++" in order to simulate moisture permeability of PTT yarns. By mathematical modeling and computer simulation, the relationship between danier of fibers and moisture permeability of yarns and fabric was analyzed. The moisture permeability of PTT yams was improved along with fining of fibers till a certain size. And the optimal danier of fibers for the moisture permeability of PTT yams and fabric was concluded.
