HARVEST CONTROL AND CANE TRANSPORT - THE VITAL LINK BETWEEN FIELD AND FACTORY

摘要

The history of developments in the cane harvest control and transport system during the past three decades is briefly outlined, and the current position with its traditional constraints is assessed. Technical innovation and development have slowed markedly in recent years. New stimulus is required, with perhaps radical departures from tradition, for advances in future harvest/transport systems to proceed.
