The incorporation of metals into organic thin films has created a new class of composites with interesting properties: Composite metal/organic films were first produced by vacuum co-evaporation (1,2) and subsequenctly by plasma polymerizationprocesses (3,4,5). I the following years a number of studies appeared that have been reviewed e.g. in (6,7,8). Simultaneously metal/inorganic dielectric (cermets) prepared by vacuum co-evaporation and co-sputtering, and their relative forms, the two dimensional metal island structures (granular metals) were in vestigated (9).
