摘要

A thermal-hydraulic integral effect test facility, SMART-ITL, was constructed at KAERI recently, and several characterization tests were performed to simulate the integral type reactor SMART. It includes tests for major components such as a core heater and safety injection pump, tests for heat loss characterization in the primary system, and tests for natural circulation characterization in the RCS of the SMART-ITL facility. Through the characterization tests, the SMART-ITL will be properly used for the simulation of the phenomena expected to occur in the SMART reactor.
