Environmental-friendly scale inhibitor polyaspartic acid (PASP) was synthesized with the method of indirect polymerization,from the materials of maleic anhydride and ammonium salt.The influence of four factors like the molar ratio of maleic anhydride and ammonium salt,the amount of catalyst,reaction temperature,and reaction time on synthesis of PASP were studied.Optimal synthesis condition was obtained by orthogonal experiment design.The synthetic product was characterized by IR.
