HUMAN-CENTERED AUTOMATION HUMAN FACTORS AND MODERN TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT CENTER

摘要

Transportation Management Center (TMC), which serves as the nerve center of Intelligent Transportation System(ITS), is a complex automated system composed of operators and hardware devices. Human Factors should be incorporated into the whole process of developing a TMC. In this paper the characteristics of TMC were first analyzed. Then it was demonstrated that human-centered automation should be adopted in the design of TMC, and the choice of level of automation and adaptive automation were emphasized. Human-centered TMC system development process were also discussed and suggested.
