The German Utilities' Efforts to Achieve Current Data for Probabilistic Safety Assessment

The German utilities are endeavouring to achieve more realistic input data for their PSAs in the fields of rates for independent failures, common cause failures and break frequencies. They are doing this in cooperation with other institutions that have experience in this respective field. The new data will lead to more realistic PSAs that best reflect the plants safety features.
