The yieldable support with overlapped I-shapped steel is a patent for temporary supporting in mines and underground engineering. Based on the brief introduction to the structure and work principle of the support, several new types of clasp fasteners designed by the author are emphatically commended in the paper. Following resutls are obtained in experiments on clasps of YY type and YF type. For the roof beam of YF clasp, setting load is within 47.1kN approx 66.6kN and the slice resistance is 41.2kN approx 63.7kN. For the leg of the YF clasp, the setting load reaches 94.1kN approx 105.8kN and the slice resistance is 83.3kN approx 105.8kN.
