摘要

The design and development of a wireless sensing platform for industrial predictive maintenance is developed and reported in this paper. The special feature of this device is to be self-powered by a piezoelectric energy harvester which converts oscillatory mechanical energy (ambient vibrations in our case) into electrical energy. This autonomous power-supply design allows the system to be easily coupled with several kinds of low power sensors to monitor ambient parameters such as temperature, humidity, vibrations and motion inside an industrial area. The device-placed near a vibrating source-can report data to a central device using the embedded Bluetooth Low Energy transceiver, or can be included inside a smart network. The data is then analyzed by the central hub to monitor the machines and perform industrial predictive maintenance.
