The attention has been focused on disasters prevention of pipeline for a long time. By summarizing the basis of past experience in the construction of the pipeline, now the pipeline engineering geological disaster control follows those prevention countermeasures: establish prevention concept "early detection and early treatment, emphasis on prevention; combination prevention and treatment" for geological disasters; reducing geological disasters from both macro (optimization pipeline route) and micro (specified construction) prevention; in order to pay more attention to some important areas; the areas are divided into emphasis prevention areas and general prevention areas, considering all stages of prevention work onto emphasis areas according to its whole life circle stages and putting limited resources and energies into these prevention area of mass disaster-prone regions. Each stage of the project should consider disaster characteristics carefully. The prevention project should be easily constructed, economical and environmental friendly.
