High frequency US has the potential to be an effective cancer treatment that causes minimal harm to healthy tissue surrounding tumors, and is one method of delivering the heat to the cancer cells. This study focused on creating devices for US delivery to treat prostate, kidney, and breast cancer through the determination of required thermal doses and US heating curves. The applicators designed and treatment protocols can guide physicians in effectively applying hyperthermia.
