A numerical method was developed for micro-scale blood flow simulation on GPU. A GPU computing method proposed in the previous study (Miki et al., in press) was extended to the cellular flow problem. A sub-time step method was also proposed for the efficient coupling between LBM and FEM. From the validation and performance studies, the present method is able to capture the mechanics of blood flow while maintaining the performance of computation. In the next study, we will analyze the cellular motion in micro-scale blood flow, in particular to clarify the mechanism on the migration of leukocytes and platelets.
