摘要

The anterior-posterior movement of the patella at high rate velocity caused high contact stress in the cartilage and bone as well. The contact pressure was concentrated in the medial compartment of the joint while it was located in the middle side at lower rate. The patella movement was larger significantly under higher velocity which may lead to dislocation injury. Plastic strain distribution demonstrated the vulnerability of the bone to high rate impact.
