Research on LEACH Routing Protocols of Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor network is a complex permanent facility without new self-organizing wireless network. In recent years, with the rapid development of the microelectronic technology, sensor technology and communication technology, wireless sensor network technology is rapidly developing with the quick progress, and it is also successful in the specific field, such as militant' and civilian. Because of its wide range of application, the future development of wireless sensor network is brilliant This paper is based on LEACH protocol to propose an improved routing protocol LEACH-NEW. LEACH-NEW protocol is used a combination of distributed and centralized way to improve the cluster head selection algorithm. LEACH-NEW agreement can maintain the original characteristics of LEACH protocol, which is based on the extended network lifetime, and the base station to receive data and maintain the optimal number of cluster head with high performance.
