Heterogeneous wireless sensor networks provide endless opportunities due to their extendable capabilities such as different computing power and sensing range, but at the same time pose formidable challenges. Deployment of sensor nodes in a sensor network is a critical task as deployment should be optimum to increase network lifetime. In this paper, we propose a non-uniform node deployment scheme. On the basis of energy dissipation by nodes we can predict optimum deployment of micro-server nodes. The simulation results show that our approach performed better in prolonging the network lifetime, compared to other conventional deployment schemes.
