In recent years, Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol receives widespread attention due to its relatively less routing overheads and good routing performance. Since the mobility of nodes and flexibility of the topology are the principal features of ad hoc network, it is necessary to study the impact of these features on the performance of the network. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme for tuning the WILLINGNESS parameter of OLSR according to the speed, position and distribution density of the nodes in OLSR networks. The simulation shows that this scheme can help to find the optimal route and increase the network throughput
