Observe the inhibition of Rg1 against the growth of colon cancer cell strains through dye exclusion experiment in vitro. In vivo, establish the colon cancer animal model, divide the mice bearing tumor into 6 groups randomly, i.e., Rg1 3, 1, 0.3 mg·kg−1 groups, cyclophosphamide group (CTX), solvent control group, and combined administration group (CTX + Rg1); administer drug into abdominal cavity daily for 10 days, kill the animals after stopping administration for 24h, weigh them and tumors, and calculate the tumor growth inhibition rate (%) and Coefficient of Drug Interaction (CDI). Additionally, establish the SW620 ascites tumor model, assign the animals into Rg1 3, 1, 0.3 mg·kg−1 groups, 5-fluorouracil group (5-FU), solvent control group, and combined administration group (Rg1 + 5-FU) randomly, administer drug into abdominal cavity daily for 5 days, record the mouse survival days, and calculate the life extension. Rg1 can inhibit the growth of tumor significantly, and extend the survival time of mice bearing tumor; additionally, Rg1 can improve the anti-tumor effect of CTX and 5-FU.
