摘要

Tat inhibitors are novel anti-HIV agents, that act on the virally-encoded Tat (transactivator) protein. Their therapeutic action involves the disruption of the Tat protein/TAR (transactivator response element) interaction in the viral mRNA resulting in the inhibition of viral replication. We previously reported that the intestinal transport properties of the Tat:biotin across Caco-2 cells potentially involves the biotin transporter H-SMVT (sodium dependent multivitamin transporter).
