Different types of ore deposits associated with the Precambrian igneous complexes and related lateites are recognized in the Pobugskoe region, located within the Golovanev suture zone of the Ukrainian shield. Among them are the following: PGE-bearing chromite, lateritic nickel, kaolin, vermiculite and magnesium fertilizer deposits, numerous zones enriched in precious metal, manganese and gemstone mineralizations. The calculated reserves of chromite ores, kaolin and magnesium fertilizer deposits in the region are 429,787 tonnes, 9 million tonnes and 20 million tonnes respectively. This region represents a promising area for mining operations.
