Nuclear reactor core is composed of a great number of tubular beams with periodic structure, which are immersed in fluid. In the present paper, a 3-D homogenization model is developed to predict its overall dynamic behavior. The added fluid massand the equivalent sound speed are discussed. It is interesting to indicate the fact that the earlier results, given by Schumann and Benner in 1981 and Brochard and Hammami in 1991, respectively, are the 2D applications of the present 3-D theory.
