Metallic ceramic materials have the advantages of ceramic materials and the characteristics of metallic materials and thus are important new engineering materials. Al_2O_3-Al cermet is prepared using different forming pressures and holding pressure times via powder metallurgy method to obtain high-performance metallic ceramic materials, and the properties of Al_2O_3-Al metallic ceramic materials are investigated in this study. The initial and final increases in density with increasing forming pressure of cermet body are insignificant, but the increasing density of the prepared metallic ceramic materials formed under 20-30 MPa is obvious. The density of metallic ceramic materials increases with prolonged holding pressure time. The initial increase in speed is fast, and the later growth rate becomes weak. The ideal pressure is 40 MPa for 15 min, the sinteringtemperature is 700°C for 1h, andthesample density of metallic ceramic materials is 2.12g/cm~3. The highest density belongs to aluminum, and the alumina distribution is the most uniform.
