Imaging polarimetry is a focus of increasmg interest in diagnostic medicine because of its non-invasive nature and its potential for recognizing abnormal tissues. However, handling polarimetric images is not an easy task, and different intermediate steps have been proposed to introduce physical parameters that may be helpful to interpret results. In this work, transmission Mueller matrices (MM) corresponding to cancer cell samples have been experimentally obtained, and three different transformations have been applied: MM-Polar Decomposition, MM-Transformation and MM-Differential Decomposition. Special attention has been paid to diattenuation as a sensitive parameter to identify apoptosis processes induced by cisplatin and etoposide.
