摘要

This paper deals with ventilation - thermal calculation of the medium sized turbo generator with the output power 40 MW. The temperature and airflow were calculated using “Ansys Fluent”, The described work follows up on the ventilation calculation done in past. In particular, there are several options tested to figure out the behavior of the numerical model. The ventilation part of the numerical model was tuned according to analytical calculations, so it should be trustworthy. The individual options are characterized as reduction or addition of the flow cross section (flow inlet to transfer ducts, air gap inlet). The results show advantages and disadvantages of those options, also show the way how to improve the cooling compartment system of a turbo generator.
