The paper presents a novel compressible-incompressible multi-phaseprojection-based particle method for prediction of water slammingpressures. The considered particle method is an extended version of anenhanced multi-phase MPS method. The proposed method solves anintegrated form of Poisson Pressure Equations (PPE) for the liquidphase and the gas phase. To further enhance the accuracy, a modifiedversion of the previously developed ECS scheme is devised for the gasphase through a meticulous calculation of minimum and maximumtheoretical base values for activation of the ECS scheme and thusimposing an allowable range of density variations for the compressiblephase. Verifications are conducted by means of a 2D liquid impact andimpacts of rigid pates on flat water surfaces.
