A numerical model based on RANS equations was employed to verifyits capability of hydrodynamics in movable sea bed. The numericalmodeling was carried out based on the wave and bathymetry conditionsof the laboratory experiments that were conducted in the large-scalewave flume. Optimal grid size in the model domain was determinedthrough the basic sensitivity tests in both accuracy and computationalcost points of view. The results showed that the vertical profiles ofhorizontal velocities and turbulent kinetic energies at the bar trough andcrest changed as beach profile changed.
