Numerical Simulation of Typhoon Waves in Waters of Qiongzhou Strait

A typhoon waves numerical simulation method applies to the waters of the Qiongzhou Strait is studied and verified in the paper. The parametric typhoon model and the SWAN wave model are selected for numerical simulation' and the wind and wave fields around the Qiongzhou Strait are simulated during the passage of one representative typhoon passing by the Qiongzhou Strait. The simulation results are compared with the measured data from the wind-and-wave observation stations which are specially established at the Qiongzhou Strait' and the applicability of this simulation method in the waters of the Qiongzhou Strait is evaluated.
