Research background and purpose.: Current street space has complexity such as various building configurations, various street furnitures, and so on.It is difficult to understand the relationship between each buildings and street immediately as quantitative relation.Accordingly, analysis of building plan and volume model that includes each buildings of street space and whole composition are especially important.In this study, the objective is to obtain an index that is used for streetscape planning based on Indication experiment using dispersion model of building volume.Indication experiment method : Fluctuation was used and defined as "Fluctuation degree"=standard deviation divided by average of height, frontage, pitch, and setback of buildings.Dispersion models applied to standard deviation of "Fluctuation degree" =1 to 12 of various elements as random number was used.As the method of experiment, Indication experiment that whole view of model and individual building of model were indicated when "unity" was felt.25 subjects were participated for the indication experiment.Result and conclusion : Relations of "unity" of each buildings are obtained from indication analysis of dispersion model of volume.From results, useful basic knowledge can be obtained to conduct plan and volume composition for future streetscape.
