This article is to research the appropriate conservative approach in China's Historic Village and Town.Comparing on conservation method from two cases, which are Lizhuang Town in Sichuan Province selected as National Historic Town, and Datong Town in Guizhou Province selected as Provincial Historic Town, two Purposes are clear.a.The characteristic and issue in conservation of China's historic village and town are clear.b.A new conservative approach based on traditional spatial structure of historic village and town is put forward.
