摘要

This paper describes the basic theory of correlation dimension, software implementation and application of correlation dimension in seismic data processing. Because the seismic data is very large, it takes a long time to calculate the data using the traditional method in seismic data processing. In order to improve computing speed, we have adopted a human-computer interaction approach to achieve the process of correlation dimension calculation in the research process. We use the improved method in the actual seismic data processing. And we calculate the correlation of the seismic trace. The oil and gas,cracks were detected. For example, we use the improved method to calculate the correlation dimension in the crack detection. And the result shows that we can get a more satisfactory result in the micro-cracks detection. Therefore, the research of the correlation dimension can provide a better basis to judge in the processing and interpretation of seismic data in seismic exploration.
