摘要

With the development of coal mining, lots of underground mined-out zones are left on the explored metallic mines, which is one of the most serious hazards of underground mines. This paper discusses the reasons and process of the formation of mined-out zones, analyzes the factors during the seismic data acquisition, and indicates the feasibility of seismic SV-wave method to detect mined-out zone, which is on the base of the physical properties basis of the mined-out area. The successful application of the method could play a leading role for the prevention of geological disasters in mining, and provide detailed and reliable geological basis in the safe production of metallic mines, reducing unnecessary economic losses of the metallic ore in the production process and providing guarantees for the metallic mines achieving high yield and high protection. As the exploration of metallic ores mined-out area of research is still in development stage at present, the exploration and evaluation of the mined-out zones is with good market and social benefits.
