More than one million emigrants have been formed due to the famous Three Gorges Project in china, which is the largest water conservancy project in the world up to now. About more than 90% emigrants were settled down via moving upwards from their original living places. Therefore, a lot of engineering slopes have been formed inevitably because this area is mountainous and lacks fiat floor for constructing new domestic installation. After more than ten years to treat the engineering slopes in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, a lot of experiences about treatment of slopes in the densely inhabited district in towns have been got and collected. By comparison among several slopes supporting measures which are commonly adopted in this area, we conclude that it will bring pleasures for nearby citizen to take environmental harmony into account on the foundation of stability in the slopes protecting project. This paper aims at evoking engineers' consciousness of environmental harmony when they protect slopes in the densely populated areas, and making them design protection methods more comprehensively.
