To develop an efficient TRAIL-based rheumatoid arthritis (RA) therapy, we designed chemical modification of TRAIL with PEG and their therapeutic potentials were investigated. The PEG-TRAIL effectively suppressed the progression of CIA with decreased inflammation, cartilage destruction, and bone erosion. These findings demonstrate the therapeutic potentials PEG-TRAIL for RA.
