The most important factor that affects safety and productivity in coal mine is gas hazard. There are many approaches to avoid gas hazard during coal mining, but hte effective method is coalbed methane development. Coalbed methane development can be divided into six methods: surface development (coalbed methane is regarded as a new kind of energy source), vertical well, gob well, horizontal borehole cross measure borehole and pipeline from gob. different mehtod is suitable for different geological background.
