The real high quality software systems should satisfy the clear and ppotential requirements from the user at the same time. Among these requirements, the most important one is the ability of handling the unexpected situations and unpredicted conditions, which is very difficult to be acquainted simply by the deisgner of software systems. Hence, this paper will present an approach which applied the traditional methods used in hardware synthetically, such as FP, FMEA and FTA, and mainly iams to uncover the weak articulations clearly, so the main points in the design of software systems, especially reliability, can stand a chance to be treated seriously.
