THE DEVELOPMENT OF MULTISCRIPTUAL MULTILINGUAL LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE ISRAEL UNIVERSITIES LIBRARIES NETWORK

摘要

Israel is a small country, 21,946 square kilometers with a population of just over 4 million, and with limited resources. There are 7 universities, none of which are more than 200 km from the other. The libraries of these universities today all use a software library management system called ALEPH. To make their holdings accessible they are linked in a nation-wide universities libraries network.
