Highway Data Collection and Information Management

摘要

Data on pavement condition, ride quality and related analysis on existing roadway and roadside structure are important for a highway department in the decision making process for infrastructure management and rehabilitation, improvement of road geometric and re-alignment study, and traffic studies. To a large degree, this decision-making process relies on the accurate and complete data collection through the use of one or more data collection vehicles. The data types from this data collection include front-view images, ride quality, rutting, pavement surface images, and other location related data.
