Dallas/Ft.Worth 7th Runway - ' A First '

摘要

The Dallas/Ft.Worth Airport, (DFW), in accommodating 2400-2500 operations per day, ranks second in the world only to Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The need to plan rehabilitation of existing runway and taxiway systems, (now near thrity years old), in addition to increasing runway capacity, prompted the programming of two new north-south paralel runways. This would bring the total to six north-sourth parallel runways, and two crosswind secondary runways. The proposed development of both runways was proposed to the Texas State Legislature in 1993 and signed into law by Governor Ann Richards.
