To make a merit of necessity

This paper presents a full-length reconstruction of the main runway from the Air Force Base Eindhoven, in The Netherlands. For economical and military reasons it was required to completer the reconstruction of the runway within six weeks. In order to achieve this goal, the engineers of The RNLAF and DGW&T were aiming for a reduction in costs and the overall reconstruction time, by not removing the existing runway lighting.
