The Determination of the anti-freezing layer depth of the concrete road has been basically empirical both at home and abroad up to now. Although some calculation methods have been proposed, they are only empirical and thus limited in reliability. In order to properly determine the anti-freezing layer depth, the accumulating ice in the base, frost heave and its influence on the runway surface must be well considered. Therefore, this paper presents the author's research and findings in these respects.
