Densiphalt for Aprons and other heavy loaded pavements

This is the first international paper concerning 10 years of experience with use of a new type of pavement called Densiplalt. Densiphalt is a jointless semi-rigid asphalt concrete composite material. Densiphalt is used as wearing coarse for apron areas in Copenhagen Airport and other intentional airports in Denmark. The Densiphalt layer is a wearing coarse of 40-60 mm thickness paved on an asphalt base course, a stabilized base ourse or other base courses of bound materials. The Densiphalt layer is composed of a special produced microsilica slurry penetrated into a special produced open graded asphalt concrete.
